Reliably detect foreign objects

GreCon SUGARVIEW inspects bulk materials for unwanted components using a camera above the conveyor belt – without contact and without interruption. Foreign objects are reliably reported, and log data provides real-time transparency for quality and control. In the sugar industry in particular, deposits that detach from production equipment can enter the product stream. These are reliably detected by the SUGARVIEW inspection system. Tolerance monitoring, logs and statistics allow detailed conclusions to be drawn about the upstream production process.

Measuring method

SUGARVIEW is preferably used above the product flow on conveyor belts. The bulk material is inspected over its entire surface by a camera system. Automatic height adjustment of the camera and lighting unit with light control creates constant measuring conditions, regardless of the ambient conditions. Foreign objects are automatically detected and classified in three image processing steps. The process runs continuously during production, enabling representative statements about product quality and contamination to be made in real time. This technology makes it possible to assess quality objectively for the first time.
