Among Germany’s best: Fagus-GreCon is a top employer in mechanical engineering

Fagus-GreCon ranks 8th among Germany’s best employers in mechanical engineering—based on employee reviews. Here is what makes our working culture stand out.

….

Not just any position: 8th place among Germany’s best employers in mechanical engineering. In the “Most Wanted Employer 2026” ranking by kununu and the ZEIT publishing group, Fagus-GreCon even places ahead of well-known industry names such as Endress+Hauser and Festo.

The best recognition comes from within

What makes this result particularly meaningful is that it is not based on a conventional jury decision or on our own assessment. It reflects reviews submitted by employees—the people who know best what working at Fagus-GreCon really feels like.

Methodology

The 2026 industry ranking is based on clearly defined criteria. Companies must have received at least 80 employee reviews, including recent feedback, achieve a recommendation rate of more than 70 percent and meet the required overall rating standards.

With a score of 3.93, Fagus-GreCon takes 8th place in the mechanical engineering category.

And yes—we are proud of that.

What makes Fagus-GreCon different

Modern working? A lived reality since 1911

When Carl Benscheidt commissioned the construction of the Fagus Factory in 1911, he did not simply create a new industrial building. He established an idea of work that was radical for its time: light instead of confinement. Openness instead of separation. People as a decisive part of success.

Large glass façades created bright working spaces. But Benscheidt’s vision extended far beyond architecture. He wanted to make industrial work more humane, manage the company in an ethically responsible and socially sustainable way, and took an early interest in improving the wider living conditions of working families.

Since then, the Fagus Factory has stood as the visible expression of an attitude that was far ahead of its time.

“Our biggest assets are neither the machines nor bank accounts, but the knowledge, the skills and the commitment of our employees.” Carl Benscheidt, company founder, 1911

Some 115 years later, this attitude is not simply a historical quotation. It remains a lived reality—and the standard by which we continue to measure ourselves.

Our 8th-place ranking shows that employees experience this commitment in their everyday work.

8th place is a number. What lies behind it is Fagus-GreCon.

A secure job matters. But a truly good workplace offers more: meaningful responsibility, room to grow, reliable cooperation and an environment where tradition never means standing still.
