On 8 September, the Fagus-Werk was awarded the quality seal in the category "ServiceQualität-Betrieb" by the state government as part of the "Initiative for Improving the Service Quality of Service Companies in Germany". At the event, the UNESCO World Heritage Site secured the coveted certificate for its tourism service offering.

A total of 50 quality certificates were awarded to companies and providers of tourist services that evening by Dr Berend Lindner, Lower Saxony's State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation. One of them now recognises the achievements of the Fagus factory.

"We are pleased to be part of this nationwide initiative and thus to be able to offer our guests an even better service. The guest is our focus and we want to fully meet their expectations of a visit to the living monument," says Fabienne Gohres, Head of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Fagus-Werk, about the award.  "We are working with our entire team as part of the ServiceQualität Deutschland initiative to improve our services along the customer journey in a consistent, targeted and, above all, sustainable way."

With the initiatives "Kinderferienland Niedersachsen", "ServiceQualität Deutschland in Niedersachsen" and "Reisen für Alle", the state government contributes to the sustainable improvement and strengthening of quality in Lower Saxony's tourism on a regional level. Certifications give guests an initial orientation about the general conditions on site before their tourist visit and create trust through the high award standards of reputable certificate providers.
