Employer Award for Fagus-GreCon

06.2021 How does the company prepare securely for the future? What does the demographic change mean for the employee recruitment? These are the questions that Fagus-GreCon has been asking itself successfully already since 2016 and for which it is now again awarded the certificate “ZukunftsFest”.

Together with the Demografieagentur (demography agency), Lower Saxony‘s Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, Traffic and Digitisation awards the certificate “ZukunftsFest” to businesses in Lower Saxony which actively meet challenges as for example the digitisation and the demographic change and successfully implement measures for these topics. The employer award “DemografieFest” (which means that the company is well prepared for demographic changes), which was awarded to Fagus-GreCon in 2016 and 2018, was renamed “ZukunftsFest” at the beginning of the last year.

Due to the corona pandemics, the award ceremony was postponed and took place on 15 June 2021 in the Hannover Zoo. The Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr. Bernd Althusmann, presented the awards to the businesses.

After a short welcome of Lutz Stratmann, Managing Director of the Demografieagentur für die Wirtschaft GmbH, the Minister gave a keynote speech on the topic “Corona as a driver of digitisation - opportunities for Lower Saxony”. The order award was followed by a round of talks with the Minister and other guests. “We are proud of having received this special award now for the third time in a row. We are already working on new exciting projects, amongst other on projects of digitisation, and hope to position the company as even better “prepared for the future” in cooperation with the works council,” Fagus-GreCon’s Managing Director, Uwe Kahmann, says who foreshadows the next plans for the medium-term future already now.
