DELAMINATIONCONTROL F measurement method: Ceramic ultrasonic transmitters are positioned below the slab strand. The ultrasonic signal generated by these transmitters penetrates the material and is picked up and evaluated by receivers located above the slab strand. Any attenuation of the recorded sound energy is registered as a deviation from the target value and signals a possible weak point. The plant operator uses electronic calibration to check the function of the monitoring channels and make any necessary adjustments.
