GreCon PROTECTOR – preventive intelligent fire protection for bulk material processes

In bulk material processing, ignition sources often arise where processes are particularly sensitive to friction, heat or dust. Modern protection systems combine detection, extinguishing and control into a coordinated overall concept. The processing of grain, pellets, granulates or dry natural products often generates sparks, smouldering nests or critical overheating – for example, due to friction, foreign matter or material adhesion. The combination of adapted detection, automated extinguishing and intelligent control ensures that critical events are quickly detected, locally extinguished and documented – without interrupting the material flow.

Safety reimagined – for industrial processes with fire potential

At the same time, the demands on plant availability, energy efficiency and resource conservation are increasing. Traditional fire protection quickly reaches its limits here. What is needed are systems that can be flexibly integrated and do more than just sound the alarm – such as the GreCon PROTECTOR fire protection concept.

Modular design – maintenance can be planned and integrated

The combination of a central control unit and decentralised modules reduces cabling requirements, shortens response times and simplifies maintenance concepts. The architecture is designed for existing structures without interfering with ongoing operations. Status data can be monitored remotely and updates can be installed centrally – with the aim of supporting planned maintenance and avoiding unplanned downtime.

Smart system details – for operational efficiency

The modular system architecture comprises coordinated components: SCOUT sensors detect even the smallest ignition sources – even in the presence of disturbances such as dust, extraneous light or heat. HUNTER extinguishing technology reacts automatically in milliseconds and monitors relevant system states such as pressure or nozzle performance. The interaction is controlled by the central MISSION CONTROL system, which analyses events, controls processes and enables condition-based maintenance.

Whether feed, food, biomass or recycling: every industry has its own protection requirements. The platform architecture of the system allows it to respond specifically to process-specific risks – scalable, expandable and combinable with existing concepts.
