Compact control unit for clear protection tasks

SPARKSTAR was developed for smaller protection zones in spark suppression and machine fire protection. As a central alarm and control module, the product family connects detectors and suppression systems and responds reliably directly at the installation.

The control unit offers connections for up to four detectors and controls up to two extinguishing systems, which can be divided across two zones – for example, for the inlet and outlet of a machine. This allows fire protection to be implemented in a targeted and application-specific manner.

SPARKSTAR provides alarms as signals for control systems, for example to switch off fans or to relay information to building services. Depending on the event, the control unit triggers different actions, such as extinguishing operations of variable duration. System statuses are displayed directly on the device. Depending on the variant, this is done via 23 RGB LEDs or a touch display. An integrated web server also enables monitoring of the operating status.

SPARKSTAR also offers flexibility when it comes to installation: The module is mounted on a DIN rail in the control cabinet, whilst the housing versions can also be mounted on the wall. This allows the product family to be easily integrated into new or existing systems. The compact design, clear separation of functions and simple commissioning make SPARKSTAR particularly suitable for applications where targeted protection is required without introducing unnecessary system complexity.

Three versions for different installation scenarios

The GreCon SPARKSTAR product family is available in three versions: SPARKSTAR CONTROL, SPARKSTAR CONTROL PRO and SPARKSTAR CONTROL MAX. This allows the appropriate model to be specifically adapted to the installation situation, environmental conditions and desired operation. SPARKSTAR CONTROL is designed for mounting on a DIN rail within an existing enclosure and features 23 RGB LEDs for direct status indication. SPARKSTAR CONTROL PRO is intended for wall mounting and is supplied with an enclosure. SPARKSTAR CONTROL MAX is also designed for wall mounting and additionally offers a touch display for operation and status indication directly on the device.

Depending on the variant, the housing, power supply, terminals, relays, display and IP protection class also differ. The protection classes range from IP30 to IP65 or IP55, depending on the version. CE marking is also taken into account depending on the variant.
